Lizards & Photography

I recently posted on my Facebook how I wanted to get some cloth diapers for some imaginary indoor chickens. See link here. Long story short, many jokes later my friend shared that she is a chicken hypnotist. Yes, a chicken hypnotist. She shared YouTube tutorials, and even the video I'm going to share with you here. How in the heck does hypnotizing a lizard relate to photography class? Watch until the end and you will find out!

This just goes to show that there are still some original ideas out there! Sure, you missed the boat on lizards in wedding dresses, but what other possibilities for your photography can you explore?

Did you know?

Did you know that Burt from Burt's Bees is an accomplished photographer? I just watched the movie "Burt's Buzz" and was pretty fascinated by his photography. There is more photography in the movie than what I can find on the internet. His images are both powerful and meaningful. If you would like to learn more you should watch the movie or check out this article:

If we left...

I stumbled across this article on NPR and thought that I had to share it. Why? Because I am thankful for all of the kindness and love that you can still find in this world. Sadness and anger are all over the news. Tales of horrific acts. If you really look though, you see the beauty. It might not be on the news, it might be right next to you. The student who shares their lunch with someone else. The stranger on the bus helping someone pick up their groceries after their bag breaks. The friend offering a hug after a really hard day. So if you are ever feeling down, and like the world is a terrible place, remember all the good. All the love, all the compassion, all the beauty. You too can spread that light.
